After Dean helped us to solve some issues around here, we enjoyed our stay in Deep Woods Haven a great deal. Next week we will join a conference in Toronto and it was a wonderful chance to prepare ourselves and reduce our stress levels by hanging around and doing some sightseeing and fishing.
The latter worked out pretty fine as we were able to catch some Northern Pikes and two largemouth bass of quite prominent size (let alone all the tiny pan fish we had to put back or eat because they were too eager swallowing our hooks).
Thanks a lot for the opportunity to rent this homey cottage.

Fantastic two nights spent here at the Lakes - this place is special! The setting is rather idyllic. Visiting from Ireland, this lake house surpassed all expectations. Our only regret is that we did not book to stay here longer during our visit to Canada. Staying up to watch the sunrise around the log fire, toasting marshmallows, star gazing on the pontoon, catching sight of frogs, kayaking on the lake. This place has given us a lifetime of memories in a short few days which we will cherish in years to come. To those who are visiting, I know you will enjoy as much as we did, as this part of Canada is quite possibly close to heaven on earth.

We really enjoyed our stay here at the cottage! My fave part is the big community table! Lots of laughs and many games were played here along with meals and real talks. Thanks for sharing your cottage with us. To the next family - enjoy!

Thank you for sharing your cottage with our family. My husband and I, four children, two spouses, one grandchild (6 weeks old) had a great week. The fishing was great off the dock! We brought one kayak so had fun on the lake. Guys did some golfing, and ladies had some peace reading our books. Unfortunately, no bonfires but we totally understand the fire ban. What a quiet, calm, peaceful place you have.

It was a very hot week with no rain and a fire ban - but the week was very much enjoyed by all!! We were very thankful for the portable air conditioner in the living room. The cottage was wonderful - what a spectacular view! We loved the privacy although we were lucky to get to see two moose that visited us one early morning at the top of the driveway!
We were a family of a Nanny & Popi, Aunt & Uncle (Mom & Dad), a newly wed couple about to have their first baby, and two young adult children - plus one dog. We very much enjoyed the lake - especially the Popa who swam to the other side and back! We did enjoy our trip to the Orrville Bakery, the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame, and celebrated a 19th birthday at Don Cherry's Sports Grill (yes we are hockey fans!). The beds were all very comfortable and plenty of room for our party of 8. Many wonderful memories were made and some great pictures to show for it.
Thank you so much to the Teng family for allowing us to enjoy their beautiful cottage, and of course to Serenity Vacations!

A bit of a rough start to a great 2 weeks. Move in day was 40 degrees and sweltering. The power went out in the heat overnight and the light in the night was Dean Curtis (property manager) answering our frantic call at 4:30 am. Thanks Dean!! The cottage was fantastic, the beds are comfy and the kitchen with everything you need to prep meals. Bears were around checking things out but not a bother. One bear down the lake watched us swim as he swam. Loons are beautiful with their 2 little ones - visiting cottage front daily and turtles of various sizes sunning on the logs. Loved the water lilies. All in all - a relaxing 2 weeks with family. Thank you for sharing your cottage and letting us make our memories here.
P.S. The bread at Orville Bakery was delish. Hoping the next family here has as much fun.
Beautiful cottage, beautiful week, loved every minute of our time here. The lake was perfectly warm and we enjoyed many sunsets surrounded by beautiful views. Thank you for our time here. Can't wait to come back already!

What a lovely week at the cottage! Swimming, kayaking, fishing, camp fires...Keep eyes out for the giant turtle. SO COOL!!!
Enjoy your time here, we sure did!
We enjoyed our week long stay a great deal! With the exception of a gigantic dock spider that looked like a tarantula, we appreciated seeing various wildlife (bullfrogs, snapping turtle, water snake, chipmunks & lots of red-winged blackbirds)! Tip to arachnophobics: check the kayak for spiders before heading into the water! While this was our first cottage experience beyond short weekend trips, it certainly won't be our last. Thanks to the Teng Family for making this experience so memorable!
Happy Canada Day!!!

Lovely cottage - beds were so very comfortable! Caught numerous fish (which we released) with the grandchildren. Watched myriads of turtles lay their eggs on the yard and driveway. Saw a bear flash by. Grandchildren LOVED all the rocks by the dock!
Would recommend this place to people.
Bonus - Got to see the Snowbirds Airshow!

After 5 days at Deep Woods Haven I can say that many unforgettable moments were had. A group of 9 here to celebrate a 30th birthday. Lots of kayaking, swimming, campfires and sunbathing. Some fish were caught but never enjoyed at all the family dinners had at the beautiful harvest table : )
Thank you again!

We had a great week at the cottage. The privacy this cottage provides is perfect. We went on a few trails in Parry Sound and also went to the Orville Bakery which had the best chocolate croissants!
Recommend this cottage to anyone looking for privacy and who enjoys nature.

We really enjoyed our weekend at Deep Woods Haven. 3 couples, 2 dogs and 1 happy 2-year-old. Our dogs both enjoyed a swim and it was Coconut's first swim ever! We enjoyed 2 beautiful sunny days on the deck. We watched birds and were excited to spot several turtles sunning themselves on logs.
Thank you for a great experience!

To all future guests and Teng family:
Deep Wood Haven has brought upon my family many fond memories. I suggest that you look at the sign behind you (at the cottage) and follow it as much as you possibly can. In this little weekend trip my family and I have lived through all of the "Love Rules".
1. "Make New Memories" - We did indeed. Not only memories of being together but also some first timers and some that will last forever. I thought the highlight of the trip would be our first time canoeing but that was nothing compared to my sister getting ENGAGED!!
2. "Relax" - It is impossible to not do so in such a peaceful place.
3. "Take Long Walks" - Not very long due to the cold but now we have some funny new memories of the trails we tried to do.
4. "Enjoy Every Moment" - Trust us...not one single moment of such a special weekend with so much love and happiness was even for a second taken for granted. With nothing left to say...
THANK YOU Deep Woods
You'll always be special

We had a brilliant (albeit short) weekend. The weather was excellent when it needed to be and allowed us to enjoy the lake and surrounding area. Our daughter had her birthday during the weekend and she had her best birthday ever kayaking on the lake and playing around the cottage. A wonderful time was had by all among the changing leaves.

We loved our stay at Deep Woods Haven. This cottage was wonderful and had all the necessary stuff we needed. The location was ideal and felt like we were staying in the woods and in a relaxing setting. It is good for swimming, fishing and has good trails near by. Also, it's proximity to the Parry Sound town centre was good. Overall, we had a lovely time and would like to come back soon.

The Bellamy Family enjoyed the beautiful cottage. Mom in her 50's kayaked for the first time ever. Lots of fishing was done, sadly no fish caught. Great relaxing with our 4 adult sons and 2 spouses and 2 dogs.

Deep Woods Haven is a beautiful cottage. Our family enjoyed the lake kayaking and using the row boat. Memories were most certainly made for the entire family and extended family. The cottage is well equipped and even on the few rain days we had, no problem in choosing from the many video and games that were available to keep us entertained.
The fire pit was great we had lots of fun collecting wood in the woods all around us and of course smores were our rewards. Great vacation was had by all!!

A huge thanks goes out to the Teng family for allowing us to stay at this beautiful place. My guests had a fantastic time enjoying the patio and all the amenities you had to offer! It was our first full cottage experience as a group and we are grateful for all the memories we will cherish.
To all future guests: we highly encourage you not to park next to the house like we did! We were fortunate to get our car out and had a few laughs after. In terms of wildlife, we did not come across anything crazy except for a black snake on the dock! We all made it out okay though so no need to worry! On a final note, enjoy the private cottage and we hope you all take advantage of the amazing opportunity!
