Offering a canoe, 2 adult kayaks, 2 child kayaks, 2 paddle boards, a 4-seat pedal boat, 6’x18’ floating water mat, pool noddles and more there is always something fun to do. Inside this spacious 5 bedroom 2 bath cottage has wifi, pool table, foosball table, darts,Wii, books, movies, games, and more! Enjoy the large outdoor deck which features a brand new fire table or sit under the umbrella and enjoy your meals al fresco. This property has a large flat lot that is ideal for outdoor games or for the kids to run around and burn off some energy. This cottage really is the perfect family getaway.
Wraight Escape has two golf courses less than 15 minutes away - The Ridge at Manitou, www.ridgeatmanitou.com, ranked Canada’s 57th best course and Granite Valley Golf Course. If you are thinking about gathering up a group and have a golf getaway, Wraight Escape is a great option.
The large bright family room overlooks the gorgeous lake, leading to a screened in back porch for when the bugs or the weather aren’t cooperating! 3 bedrooms on the main floor, and 2 on the lower level. The dining room offers a large oak table with eight chairs. In the summer months, step out of the sliders on to the safe gated deck where there is another perfect space for gathering the kids at the log picnic table! Don't worry about preparing the perfect meal. Wraight Escape's kitchen is fully equipped with everything that you would need to make even the best holiday feast.The owners take pride with this beautiful cottage and are continuously improving the cottage for you to enjoy!
Some nearby attractions are the Manitouwabing Outpost - a small town shop with ice cream, boat gas and offers free boat launch. The Rotary Fitness Trail, 1,100 km of snowmobile trails, Bear Claw Adventure ATV tours, the town of McKellar, the Parry Sound Summer Market, Killbear Provincial Park and of course great fishing.
Dogs are welcome at Wraight Escape. Sorry, no pets other than dogs (max 2)due to allergies.

Beautiful Lake
Here's out list of highlights: -great fire area with Muskoka Chairs -handy bin outside with raquets, balls, etc... -excellent deack area with ample space around the table -nice to be able to close doors to sleeping area & basement -loved kayaks, boards, and paddle boat -nice open living area with carpet and toy box -beautiful lake
A special Week at Wraight Escape
What a special week we had at "Wraight Escape"! We made beautiful memories - playing pool with our amazing 88 year old dad, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, and laughing as we all tried to balance on the float pad. We enjoyed quiet moments reading by the lake, fun movie nights, puzzles, and games of badminton and frisbees. Your well stocked and beautifully organized kitchen made cooking a pleasure, and we gathered in the evening around the great dining table - worthy of Blue Bloods family dinner - delicious meals, good laughs and conversations. We had plans to go out one night but quickly decided: why leave paradise?! Wraight Escape lives up to its name. Cheers 😁 We loved reading the story of your cottage reservations and the history of the lake and town - Such care, character, and vision in everything you've done. "Great Escape"
This was year 5 of staying at our "Great Escape". We appreciate all the improvements you have made over the years. This year we a fox, a beaver and many ducks. The paddle boards, kayaks, canoe & lily pad provided much fun. We experienced a tornado warning on Thursday. Thankfully, it just got very dark & rained hard for a few minutes. Thank you for sharing!
Each year just gets better!
Thank you so much for another excellent stay! This was year 5 for our families staying here and each year gets better with all your thoughtful upgrades and very well taken care of home. Thank you for sharing it with us so we can have time together to relax, play games and just float in the lake. We look forward to it every year! Hopefully we’ll see it again next year!
Excellent Stay at Wraight Escape
We had an excellent stay at the Wraight Escape. We can tell that the hosts, Jen and Mike, have taken great consideration of their guests' needs. Our family of four made so many fun memories - from kayaking across the lake, competitive games of pool and foosball, bonfires and S'mores, and of course movie nights. Thank you for sharing your space so we could experience this lovely getaway. We hope to be back again. We recommend: Visit Waubuno Beach,, get ice cream/gelato from Glen Burney Provisions, and slushies/icees from the Circle K in town (recommended by our twin 11 year olds!) Thank you again! I was a great week!
Wonderful Escape
We very much enjoyed our stay at your wonderful escape! The weather was perfect which made our family vacation great. The S'more kit was enjoyed by all. Thank you for all the entertainment. Highly recommend booking this cottage!
Relaxing and Peaceful

Great family getaway!
As a bit of a family reunion, my spouse and I (40-somethings) rented with six senior adults (65+) and two dogs for a week in September 2024. The cottage was as advertised: clean, well-appointed with lots of activities and very easy to navigate for those with limited ability to navigate a lot of stairs. The kitchen has everything you need (and more) to stay for awhile (just bring ice), and is setup to cook all kinds of meals. The games, books and video options are plentiful, and the space is lovely and beds comfortable. The lake is a bit shallow for swimming (at least near the dock), but there are a lot of watercraft options and all seemed to be in good repair. For pet owners, it’s quite dog friendly with an enclosed outdoor deck facing the lake, and large spaces for exercise. Nights were quiet, with only the sounds of nature and the occasional passing car to consider for open-window sleeping. The hosts were gracious and property manager was very attentive; everything well-explained in advance (along with easy checkout instructions that weren’t a burden at all to follow). The internet and local wireless network connectivity is a bit slow for any sort of “working holiday” to be very practical, but that’s all the more reason to disconnect and make the most of the beautiful scenery at the lake or within a short drive (Parry Sound, for essentials and a few good brewery and restaurant options, is 20 minutes away). We’d definitely be keen to return another time, and recommend the cottage to families, pet parents and small groups looking for a nice getaway.

Well-equipped lake house
This property is well-equipped with plenty of board games and card games for adults through children. For use on the lake, everything mentioned in the listing was present and in good repair. Our one critique is that beach towels were listed but no separate towels were present for use outdoors. We prefer separate bath and beach towels. We just would have brought separate beach towels if we knew there was only one set of 8 towels. This was very minor in the grand scheme and we were very pleased with our stay. Communication with the property manager was superb during our stay. My wife and I stayed with our 4 kids (13, 9, 4, & 2) and dog and I would stay here again.
